Hiking in Corno alle Scale: trails, routes and tips
Lake Scaffaiolo and mountain hut
One of the most popular routes leads to Lake Scaffaiolo, located at high altitude near the Rifugio Duca degli Abruzzi.

Dardagna waterfalls and Madonna dell’Acero
A scenic trail follows the Dardagna stream through the forest, reaching a series of waterfalls.
Nearby you’ll find the Santuario della Madonna dell’Acero, a starting point for several hikes.
Cavone area and panoramic paths
From the Cavone area, many trails lead towards higher elevations and open landscapes.
Monte La Nuda and ridge walks
For more experienced hikers, routes towards Monte La Nuda offer quieter and less crowded paths.
Chairlifts and access to higher altitude
